Hyatt’s Joie de Vivre Hotels brand is set to debut in Asia with the opening of Bei Zhaolong Hotel in China. Strategically located in Sanlitun, the leisure and entertainment hub of Beijing, this is a revamped model of the iconic Zhaolong Hotel that opened in 1985. This Hyatt property is expected to open its doors in Q4 2019.

The 202-key Bei Zhaolong Hotel tries to capture the vibe of a modern-day Beijing. The space and cuisine have been designed keeping in the mind the needs of professionals, business travellers and locals. There is an informal F&B outlet, BEI Commune, where guests and locals can socialise.

Commenting on this upcoming launch, Stephen Ho, president of Greater China, global operations said, “We look forward to welcoming the BEI Zhaolong Hotel – the very first Joie de Vivre property announced by Hyatt in Asia Pacific after the successful acquisition of Two Roads Hospitality last November.

“As we commemorate our 50th year in Greater China and the Asia Pacific, adding Joie de Vivre Hotels to our diversified brand portfolio will be another new milestone for us to continue to expand our brand footprint in the region. With its unique neighbourhood-inspired hotels, the Joie de Vivre brand has already seen extraordinary success in the U.S. and will redefine the concept of travel and community in the region.”
