Emirates operated its first A380 superjumbo service into London Heathrow ten years ago today (December 1), and is celebrating with a ten-day special fare offer.

Customers can get return economy fares between Heathrow and Dubai from £380, and in business class from £2,380.

The carrier says that since the first A380 flight into Heathrow, its superjumbo aircraft have carried over 12.3 million passengers on 14,581 flights, clocking up over 80,195,000 km.

Commenting on the news Richard Jewsbury, Divisional Vice President, UK at Emirates, said:

‘’From welcoming the first Emirates A380 to Heathrow ten years ago to now operating six daily A380 flights from Heathrow to Dubai, we are proud of the phenomenal progress we’ve made in opening up Dubai and the world beyond to passengers on an aircraft they universally love to fly on.”

Emirates is the largest operator of the Airbus A380, with over 100 of the aircraft in service and more than 50 still on order.

The airline is also currently offering double tier miles on selected fares, for bookings made by December 3.
