Aer Lingus is to launch transatlantic flights to Montreal and Minneapolis next year, bringing the carrier’s North American destinations to 15 routes.

The daily Dublin- Minneapolis-St Paul International service will launch on July 8, 2019, and will be operated by a B757 aircraft.

This will be followed by the Dublin- Montréal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International route on August 8, 2019, which will be served by the carrier’s new A321LR aircraft which is due for delivery next year.

Aer Lingus is leasing a total of seven A321LRs from Air Lease Corporation, with three deliveries scheduled for 2019 and a further four in 2020.

The new services will add around 250,000 annual seats to the airline’s transatlantic network.

This year Aer Lingus has launched transatlantic routes from Dublin to Seattle and Philadelphia.
