Members of Malaysia Airlines’ Enrich frequent-flyer programme will soon be able to accrue miles when they take chauffeur rides with Blacklane.

Beginning in December, Enrich members will be able to accrue two miles for every US$1/£1 spent with the professional driver service. Users must add their Enrich number to their Blacklane profile in order to earn miles, which can be done on “all new and previously scheduled rides”, according to the company.

“Malaysia Airlines is investing in aircraft, products, service and technology to improve the overall customer experience and Blacklane’s quality professional driver service will be an important part of this,” said the airline’s chief commercial officer, Arved Von Zur Muehlen.

In addition to earning miles abroad, Enrich members will also be able to do so in Malaysia. Blacklane expanded into Asia-Pacific last year, and currently operates in Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Penang and Senai.

Along with chauffeur services, Blacklane recently added airport concierge services to its repertoire following its acquisition of airport concierge booking platform, Solve.

Blacklane isn’t the only new way for Enrich members to earn miles through ground transportation, either. In June this year, Malaysia Airlines entered into a partnership with car rental company Sixt that enables Enrich members to earn 500 miles per rental.

Enrich is currently running a “30 Days of Rewards” campaign that enables members to earn six times the normal number of miles with selected lifestyle partners.
