Qatar Airways has begun offering door-to-door chauffer-driven transfers for travellers in all classes in more than 85 destinations to which it flies.

Offered in tandem with global chauffeur service, Blacklane, the service can be booked for a fee through the airline’s website or app. Travellers can choose their vehicles, which include Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Cadillac, with business class, business vans, SUVs or first class cars available.

Speaking about the new service offering, Qatar Airways group chief executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Our partnership with Blacklane is an innovation that we know our passengers will value. Offering luxurious door-to-door transfers will enhance their overall travel experience when they fly with Qatar Airways.”

Rates are all-inclusive and cashless, and are determined prior to booking. Taxes, tolls, fees and gratuities are included in the fare, as is a complimentary one-hour wait time for airport pickups. Customers can also change and cancel free of charge up to one hour before their journey for one-way trips.

For those travelling to other destinations, Blacklane is also available at more than 500 airports around the world, and earlier this year expanded its presence significantly in Asia-Pacific.

In similar news, Dubai-based Emirates announced back in June that it has partnered with BMW for its new fleet of chauffeur-driven cars for business class passengers. However in the same month, Etihad announced it would be cutting chauffeur services from all of its international destinations.
