Emirates is set to resume its A380 service between Dubai and Tokyo Narita International airport this spring.

From March 26, the airline’s Dubai-Narita route will replace its current B777-300ER with the A380, offering 489 seats in three classes. It previously operated the route with the superjumbo from 2012 to 2013.

Flight EK318 will depart Dubai at 0240 and arrive in Narita at 1735 daily, with the return EK319 flight departing Narita on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2200, arriving in Dubai at 0415 the next day. On Tuesday and Wednesday, it will depart Narita at 2120 and arrive in Dubai at 0335 the next day.

The service follows the airline’s recent A380 launch to Moscow, and will take place after the launch of A380 services to Johannesburg. It will also coincide with the launch of A380 services between Dubai and Morocco.

Emirates recently moved to an all-A380 and B777 fleet, and currently flies the A380 to 45 destinations, including Paris, Rome, Milan, Madrid and London.
