From early December, Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) and United Airlines (UNITED) are looking to expand their collaboration with the addition of 15 new codeshare agreements.
Subject to US Department of Transportation approval, ANA will place its ‘NH’ code on 15 of UNITED’s services to Mexico from Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
ANA passengers will benefit from shorter transfer times when connecting to Mexico as schedules are synchronized and luggage handling coordinated.
The new agreement will cover the following routes:
1. Chicago – Cancun
2. Chicago – Mexico City
3. Chicago – Monterrey
4. Houston – Aguascalientes
5. Houston – Cancun
6. Houston – Guadalajara
7. Houston – Leon/Guanajuato
8. Houston – Mexico City
9. Houston – Monterrey
10. Houston – Queretaro
11. Los Angeles – Cancun
12. Los Angeles – Guadalajara *
13. Los Angeles – Leon/Guanajuato
14. San Francisco – Cancun
15. San Francisco – Guadalajara *
* UNITED currently does not operate this service, but will add it from January
The Japanese carrier has a total seven U.S. destinations in its network. From its hubs at Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita Airports it serves Chicago, New York (JFK), Los Angeles, Seattle, San Jose, San Francisco and Washington daily on-board Boeing B777 and B787 aircraft.
