SIA reopens Hong Kong Silverkris lounge

7 Nov 2014 by GrahamSmith

Singapore Airlines has reopened the Silverkris lounge at Hong Kong International Airport following its refurbishment.

The 913 sqm facility closed in May (see news, May 22) so that it could be renovated with the same 'Home Away From Home' design concept as the airline's lounge in Sydney (see news, December 2013).

First and business class each have their own dedicated seating areas, while a seating area near the entrance, known as The Gallery, contains eleven armchairs and will be used to showcase art pieces by local Hong Kong and Singapore artists.

Three shower suites, each featuring a rain shower, toilet and sink, have been introduced for premium visitors. (The old lounge didn't have any showers).

The facility is open daily from 0615 until 2330 and serves four meals – breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. A tended bar serves drinks including wines, spirits and cocktails.
