Qatar Airways will start a three-times weekly direct service to Zagreb in October.
The Gulf carrier currently flies from its Doha base to the Croatian capital via Budapest on a daily basis.
But, from October 1, it will operate a direct route to Zagreb three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and will contine flying via Budapest on the other four days.
The direct service will will depart Doha at 0105 and arrive in Zagreb at 1155 local time. The return flight will depart Zagreb at 1255 and arrive in Doha at 1915 local time.
The new route schedule will increase seats to 240 in business class and 2,640 in economy class each week.
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said: “In the two years since we began flying to Zagreb we have watched it grow into one of our most popular destinations in Europe.
“This is why I am so pleased that we are now able to provide our passengers with a new and more convenient option by offering a direct flight to this beautiful city direct from Doha.”
Qatar Airways last month launched a five-weekly direct Dreamliner service between Doha and Edinburgh (see news, May 28).
