Hilton Worldwide has opened its fourth Doubletree by Hilton property in Scotland.
Formerly the Point Hotel, the 138-room Doubletree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre is now welcoming guests after a £4.2 million renovation.
Located in the city's old town, the property offers views of Edinburgh Castle, has a domed roof, a brasserie-style restaurant and a top floor penthouse.
On the first Thursday of every month, the hotel will transforms its penthouse venue into a Skybar, offering guests and locals panoramic views of the city.
The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness centre, free wifi, three meeting rooms and a 24-hour business centre.
John Greenleaf, global head of Doubletree by Hilton, said: "It is with great pride that we announce the opening of our first hotel in Edinburgh."
Simon Vincent, Hilton Worldwide's president, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, added: "The opening of Doubletree by Hilton Edinburgh City Centre joins a Scottish portfolio of 14, which, during a year that will see the country play host to world-class events including the Ryder Cup and the 2014 Commonwealth Games, is immensely exciting."
Doubletree by Hilton has three further Scottish properties — in Dunblane, Aberdeen and Dundee —and 21 across the UK.
