“Faulty BA plane ‘put lives at risk’, passengers say”
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23631153
Certainly not a headline BA would want repeating given BA trades on its safety record…. especially as it is on the BBC as opposed to a rag such as the DM which trades on hyperbole.
Personally, I am not surprised given a demoralised, demotivated workforce led by an autocratic egotist with bullying leadership and management skills.
We should never forget that the BBC is under CP control and is therefore anti British. It seeks to do down Britain and British companies/identity/institutions/people etc., so it’s no surprise that they keep reporting these types of stories.
The DM is not a rag. Although now in tabloid form, it is far from a ‘red top’ like the Mirror.
These incidents will always be considered newsworthy where they involve a British airline or a flight to/from the UK.
For the same think to happen twice with the same passengers is unfortunate.
Difficult to tell whether the string of recent maintenance type issues and incidents is statistically higher than other airlines but I wouldn’t be rushing to fly a BA 747 these days.
The claim that the faulty plane put lives at risk is being made by the passenger(s).
People were without doubt scared, and for good reason, but it seems the landing was without incident and the slides were not deployed.
The headline, attention grabbing as it is, may perhaps be a touch of an exaggeration.
