Turkish Airlines announces partnership with Melbourne Victory

The capital of Victoria State, Melbourne is the most populated city in Australia, and the new flight offering makes Turkish Airlines the sole European airline currently flying to Melbourne airport. The airline hopes to contribute to trade and tourism value in both countries each year by flying thousands of passengers through the new Istanbul-Melbourne route from now on.

Australia’s minister for jobs and industry, Natalie Hutchins, stated: “Victoria is home to Australia’s largest Türkiye-born community, a big nod to our vibrant multicultural state. We look forward to creating easier connections for this community and boosting tourism with the arrival of Turkish Airlines.”

Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus added that the airline’s entry into the Australian market provides new options for travellers and local exporters.
