IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of its sixth Vignette Collection property in Thailand.

The beachfront resort along Phuket’s Nai Yang beach joins IHG’s growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio – now the second largest in the world – as its first collection brand strides towards its ambition to reach 100 properties in 10 years.

Opening in 2028, Phuket Nai Yang Beach, Vignette Collection will be the third Vignette Collection property with local partner Dinso Resort, joining the recently opened Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket, Vignette Collection and an upcoming Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang, Vignette Collection.

Located on the Southern tip of Nai Yang beach, Phuket Nai Yang Beach, Vignette Collection, will be a 15-minute drive from Phuket International airport and an hour from Phuket Town and Patong Beach.

Featuring 115 rooms and suites with views of the Andaman Sea and nearby nature, the property will feature eight Presidential Suites – each measuring 200 square metres – four restaurants, a rooftop bar, meeting spaces of more than 480 square metres, a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.

“We’re delighted that our latest signing bolsters the strong pipeline for Vignette Collection to represent six Vignette Collection properties in Thailand. This shows the brand’s strong appeal to our partners, who are retaining the distinctive identities of their hotels, while benefiting from IHG’s global scale, Luxury & Lifestyle expertise, and powerful IHG One Rewards loyalty programme,” said IHG senior director development for Southeast Asia and Korea, Saowarin Chanprakaisi.

“IHG continues to grow in Phuket with eight open properties across six IHG brands, and another five in the pipeline. Having such a strong and broad presence in the market ensures we’re offering a wide range of stay experiences, catering to the needs of all travellers.”

Phuket Tourist Association (PTA) targeted the arrival of 14 million international and domestic tourists by the end of 2023, with overseas visitors having already exceeded pre-Covid levels.

Phuket Nai Yang Beach, Vignette Collection will join the global Vignette Collection portfolio in 2028, alongside Convent Square Lisbon and Casa da Companhia in Porto, Portugal, Yours Truly DC in the U.S., Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley in Australia, Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok in Thailand and Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort.

With 19 hotels in the pipeline, the brand is set to grow to 100 hotels in 10 years.
