Maybourne Hotel Group has set an April opening date for its latest London property.
As previously reported The Emory is housed within a new building in the capital’s Knightsbridge district, designed by the late Richard Rogers, and Ivan Harbour of architectural firm RSHP.
The property’s entrance will be on Old Barrack Yard, and it will feature “a striking ‘sails’ structure soaring above the treetops of Hyde Park”.
Features will include 60 suites over nine floors, with each floor showcasing different interior designers ranging from André Fu and Pierre-Yves Rochon, to Rémi Tessier, Patricia Urquiola and Champalimaud Design.
There will be a private guest-only rooftop space with access to Bar 33 and The Emory Cigar Merchants, and guests will benefit from return car transfer from the capital’s private airfields or international airports.
Other facilities will include Surrenne wellness club, housed within four floors below ground and featuring a 22-metre swimming pool, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant abc kitchens, with a glass facade offering views of Hyde Park and Kensington.
The hotel will join Maybourne Hotel Group’s existing London properties – Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley – as well as The Maybourne Beverly Hills in the US and The Maybourne Riviera in France.
At last year’s International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin the group’s co-CEO Marc Socker spoke on subjects ranging from the hotel group’s heritage and growth, to rising rates and today’s definition of luxury.

The Emory is one of several luxury hotels set to open in London in 2024, with others including Mandarin Oriental Mayfair and Six Senses London.
