Maybourne Hotel Group has announced plans for its fourth London property, to be located in the capital’s Knightsbridge district.
Scheduled to open in winter 2023, The Emory will be housed within a new building designed by the late Richard Rogers, and Ivan Harbour of architectural firm RSHP.
The property’s entrance will be on Old Barrack Yard, and it will feature “a striking ‘sails’ structure soaring above the treetops of Hyde Park”.

Features will include 60 suites over nine floors including a penthouse designed by Rigby and Rigby, with each floor showcasing different interior designers including Alexandra Champalimaud, André Fu, Pierre-Yves Rochon, Rémi Tessier and Patricia Urquiola.
There will also be a guest-only rooftop space with 36-degree views of the capital, as well as a restaurant by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and a four-floor underground wellness space with 22-metre pool.
The Emory will join Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley as the group’s fourth London hotel, and its sixth overall including The Maybourne Beverly Hills and The Maybourne Riviera.

Commenting on the news Maybourne’s CEO Gianluca Muzzi, said:
“This is our first new London property in 50 years, and we believe it will be a truly ground breaking new addition to our distinguished hotel family.
We plan to bring the inspiration and creative energy that have made our other hotels so notable, whilst also making The Emory a world class hub of art and culture.
“This opening further cements our vision and commitment to growing Maybourne Hotel Group, and heralds a bold new future for the company.”
