Banyan Tree Dubai officially opened its doors to welcome its first guests on 2 December 2023.

The former Caesars Palace Dubai resort located on Bluewaters has now become the first Banyan Tree property in Dubai.

In September, Ennismore and Banyan Tree Group agreed a deal with Dubai Holding to reflag the resort.

As part of a long-term strategic partnership agreement between Accor and Banyan Tree Group signed in 2016, Banyan Tree Dubai will be co-operated by Banyan Tree Group and Ennismore, following a similar operational model applied in Banyan Tree Doha at La Cigale Mushaireb, Qatar and Banyan Tree AlUla, Saudi Arabia.

Banyan tree Dubai’s 178 rooms have been refreshed by BLINK Design. They range in size from 54 sqm to 315 sqm. The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies with sea views and marble-clad bathrooms.

As part of the transition from Caesars Palace Dubai to Banyan Tree Dubai, a brand-new 4,465 sqm four-bedroom villa featuring its own pool and private beach access, was added to the resort.

Additionally, it has 96 fully furnished private apartments in one-, two-, three-and four-bedroom configurations. The pet-friendly branded residences have fully-equipped kitchens, a dedicated 24-hour concierge, valet, maintenance and security services. Homeowners can also avail of discounts on hotel dining and spa facilities, and special rates on hotel stays for family and friends.

The resort has seven F&B outlets including poolside eatery Alizee, Chinese restaurant Demon Duck by celebrity Chef Alvin Leung and Japanese outpost TakaHisa among others.

Its meeting and event spaces include three meeting rooms, a business centre, and a 750 sqm ballroom with a maximum capacity of up to 500 attendees. Outdoor event spaces range from seaside venues to a smaller garden space with a private entrance and a poolside deck.

In addition to three temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pools, the resort has a fitness centre, a beauty salon and Banyan Tree Spa too. Retail offerings include a Banyan Tree Gallery where guests can shop for bath and body products, aromatherapy oils as well as handicrafts made by local artisans.

“Thanks to its central location, Banyan Tree Dubai will appeal to both leisure and business travellers, as well as wedding couples looking for iconic backdrops for their nuptials and honeymoons,” said Peter Hechler, senior vice president and head of Regional Operations for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa at Banyan Tree Group.

As part of its ongoing global expansion, in May this year, the Banyan Tree Group announced plans for the first property under its core Banyan Tree brand in Europe.

Banyan Tree Varko Bay is scheduled to open in 2026 and will be located in the Greece’s western Aitoloakarnania region. It will feature an all-pool villa concept, with 116 villas and 45 branded residences.
