United Airlines has unveiled a new Club lounge close to gate C74 at New York’s Newark airport.
The 18,000 square foot (1,700 sqm) facility has seating for more than 400 guests, and features a Manhattan-inspired design, including a blue and gold ceiling art installation designed by local artist Ron Norsworthy – inspired by Grand Central Station.
Features include self-scan entry, a premium bar, wellness room, and a full buffet with choices including the Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich (considered to be the official sandwich of the state of New Jersey).
The lounge joins United’s recently opened Club lounge within Newark’s Terminal A, and the carrier’s Terminal C3 facility which was briefly the largest lounge in United’s network when it opened in 2022.
I say briefly because that accolade has been taken by the airline’s new 35,000 square foot (3,250 sqm) lounge at Denver International airport which opened last month.
The completion of the Terminal C facility means that Newark is the first of United’s hubs to fully reflect the carrier’s new Club design and amenities.
As a result of the opening – which means United has more than doubled its lounge space at the airport – the carrier’s pop-up lounge close to gate C93 has now closed.
