United Airlines has opened its largest airport lounge to date, with the unveiling of a 35,000 square foot (3,250 sqm) facility on Denver’s B Concourse.

The new Club overtakes the carrier’s Newark Terminal C3 lounge – which opened in 2022 – as the largest in United’s network, and is part of plans to have over 100,000 square foot (9,300 sqm) of lounge space at Denver airport by the end of 2025.

The new B Concourse Club is located near gate B44, and offers more than 600 seats across three levels, with facilities including a feature bar with ten local and craft beers on tap.

The design has been inspired by Denver’s urban areas, with details including concrete flooring, exposed ceilings, locally-sourced furnishings and artwork, a mural by visual artists Charlo Garcia Walterbach, and a sculpture made out of skateboards inspired by the cones of the Colorado Blue Spruce.

The B Concourse lounge joins a 2,200 sqm A Concourse facility which was unveiled last month close to gate A26.

Inspired by the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and designed to feel like a ski lodge, the Club features two fireplace lounges, seating for 400 guests, two premium bars, a game lounge and artwork including “a sculptural installation from Colorado-based artist Amy Hoagland that uses glass rods to form a topographic-inspired piece that creates an optical illusion from different vantage points”.

Last year United debuted its new ‘Club Fly’ lounge concept within the Concourse B expansion at Denver airport, and it says it will also add “an additional revamped club location” at the airport in 2025, bringing the carrier’s total lounge footprint at Denver International to more than 9,000 sqm.

Commenting on the news Alexander Dorow, United’s head of clubs and lounges, said:

“The new United Club locations are designed and operated to reflect feedback from our customers and match the way their travel has evolved in recent years.

“We’re growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers’ experience.”

United is investing nearly $1 billion in its Denver operations, including a new check-in lobby, 12 new gates on the A and B Concourses, and six new routes to destinations including Asheville, Dayton, Greensboro and Lexington in the US, as well as Montego Bay in Jamaica and San Juan in Puerto Rico.
