Marriott International has launched what it says is India’s first co-branded hotel credit card, in partnership with HDFC Bank.

The Diners Club card has an annual fee of INR 3,000, and offers a free night award and Marriott Bonvoy Silver status upon sign-up.

Cardholders will earn two points per INR 150 spent on eligible purchases, rising to eight points per INR 150 spent on eligible purchases at participating Marriott hotels.

Cardholders can also earn up to three additional free night awards when reaching annual spend thresholds of INR 6 lakh, INR 9 lakh and INR 15 lakh.

Other benefits include complimentary access to over 1,000 airport lounges worldwide (12 domestic and 12 international entries per year), as well as access to participating golf courses two times per quarter, and insurance covering baggage, lost passports and missed connections.

The new card follows the recent launch of a new multi-branded, Avios-earning credit card in India – a partnership between between British Airways, Qatar Airways and Induslnd Bank.
