Norse Atlantic Airways has announced plans for two new transatlantic routes to Miami International airport this winter.

A four-times-weekly Paris CDG-Miami service will launch on 11 December, followed by weekly flights between Berlin and Miami from 15 December.

Air France serves the Paris CDG-Miami route year-round, while American Airlines offers seasonal flights between the two cities. There are currently no direct, nonstop services between Berlin and Miami International.

It means Norse will operate flights from four European destinations to Miami this winter – Gatwick, Oslo, Paris and Berlin. The carrier recently confirmed that it will switch its recently launched Gatwick-Fort Lauderdale service to Miami International from September.

Fares for the Paris-Miami routes start from €219 one way, with Berlin-Miami starting from €239 one way. Both routes are now on sale.

Norse also operates seasonal flights from Berlin to New York JFK, and year-round services from Paris CDG to JFK.

It will be the second attempt by the carrier to expand transatlantic routes from Berlin – last summer Norse launched flights from the German capital to Los Angeles, only for these to by cut from the airline’s winter 2022 schedules.

Commenting on the news Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO Norse Atlantic Airways, said:

“Miami has long been recognized as a sought after winter sun location and we are delighted to connect even more European cities to this vibrant destination.

“Thanks to Norse Atlantic there are now affordable direct air links from Paris, Berlin, London and Oslo to Miami throughout the winter season meaning more travellers will now be able to experience these amazing destinations on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Earlier this month Norse launched flights from London Gatwick to Los Angeles and San Francisco – these will be followed by routes to Boston in September, followed by flights to Barbados, Kingston and Montego Bay this winter.
