Aeroflot has unveiled its first retrofitted B777 aircraft, with two more set to be refurbished by the end of the year.
In February 2020 the carrier unveiled its first A350 aircraft, featuring the Collins Aerospace ‘Horizon’ business class seat.
At the time Aeroflot stated that its B777s would be retrofitted with a different seat product, and this has now been unveiled as the Super Diamond NG (also by Collins Aerospace), which offers a sliding privacy door, 18.5-inch IFE screen, two-metre fully flat bed, and “high-quality jacquard upholstery”.
The aircraft is configured with a total of 427 seats – 28 in business class, 24 in Comfort Class (premium economy), and 375 in economy.
Seat pitch in Comfort Class averages 96cm (80cm in economy), and all cabins benefit from Panasonic’s Ex3 IFe system, as well as inflight wifi connectivity.

Aeroflot said that the retrofitted aircraft would operate “on all popular international and domestic routes, including Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, Mahe, Delhi, Yerevan, Bishkek, Baku, Tashkent, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky”.
Last summer Aeroflot Group published an updated strategy through to 2028, by which time the group aims to be operating 600 aircraft – up from around 350 at the time of the announcement.
