Spicejet passengers can now book cabs on the airline’s inflight entertainment platform, Spicescreen, while being on board the flight.

Once the passenger books a cab on Spicescreen, they will get the cab booking OTP message via SMS, Whatsapp, and automated inbound call confirmation on their mobile phone on arrival. It will also enable customers the flexibility to pay via any payment option (online or cash) at the end of the journey.

In the first phase, the airline will offer this service to all flyers arriving at the Delhi airport, starting today, August 12, 2021. The facility will soon be available at all major airports including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune in a phased-manner.

Special discounted fares are being offered on booking cabs through Spicescreen platform. In case, the passenger is unable to board the cab for any reason, no cancellation charges will be levied.

In addition, travellers will not have to carry their luggage to the cab departure area as they will now be available right outside the arrival gate.

Ajay Singh, chairman, and managing director, Spicejet, said:

“With the launch of our industry-first Spicescreen mid-air airport transfer service, we aim to elevate customer experience to the next level by setting a new benchmark of unparalleled convenience.

“When we launched Spicescreen in August last year, we had promised to add more onboard services for our customers.

“With our latest offering, passengers will no longer have to carry their luggage to the cab departure area besides enjoying zero waiting time as cabs will now be available for them right outside the arrival gate.”
