Oman Airports has announced that Air France will introduce a new route from Muscat to Paris on October 31.

The three-times-weekly service will be operated by a B787-9 Dreamliner, offering 279 seats across three travel classes: Business, Premium Economy and Economy.

“The new flight will provide an important link between the two capital cities,” said Oman Airports. “There are strong cultural and economic ties between the two countries that have been built up over centuries, and the introduction of direct flights will further strengthen these by provide more choice and connectivity helping to increase the number of business and leisure passengers in both directions.”

France is a key source market for Oman and pre-COVID, the country contributed 68,000 annual visitors to the Sultanate (in 2019).

The new service will also offer Omanis the chance to visit Paris and other key cities in France, as well as Europe and North and South America, with onward flights provided by Air France and its partner airlines in the SkyTeam Alliance.
