Hilton has announced plans for two new properties in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv.

LXR and Curio properties are being developed on the city’s waterfront next to Independence Park, offering a total of 577 rooms.

The 401-room Curio Collection by Hilton hotel is scheduled to open in 2026, and will feature a spa, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 1,300 sqm ballroom, and five restaurants and bars.

Meanwhile the LXR property will offer 176 rooms including 40 suites with balconies overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The hotel’s lobby will be situated on the 20th floor of the building, and there will be a rooftop pool, destination restaurant and bar.

The hotels will join the existing Hilton Tel Aviv and Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem in the region.

Hilton launched its LXR Hotels and Resorts brand in 2018, and added its first US property earlier this year.

Meanwhile the group’s Curio Collection recently reached the milestone of 100 properties, with the opening of a new hotel on Lake Michigan’s redeveloped Navy Pier in Chicago.

Commenting on the news Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton said:

“For more than half a century, Hilton has played a critical role in hosting both local and international visitors at our iconic Hilton Tel Aviv.

“During that time the city has become a thriving cosmopolitan destination, and we’re pleased to be building on Hilton’s legacy in Israel by introducing two extraordinary hotels on Tel Aviv’s beachfront.”
