Imperial Hotel, Osaka has received the GBAC STAR accreditation “as a facility in compliance with the most rigorous international standards for measures implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease”.

GBAC STAR is affiliated with the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), that advocates operating standards for the implementation of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention protocols.

The accreditation highlights and verifies Imperial Hotel, Osaka’s efficient safety and hygiene measures with respect to cleaning, disinfection, and the prevention of infectious diseases, and the roles and responsibilities of employees.

As part of measures, the staff is posted at all entrances in the hotel to welcome guests and customers, carry out temperature checks and help with disinfection in accordance with the hotel’s guidelines.

The hotel said in an official release that it “will continue to give top priority to the health and safety of its guests, customers, and employees in its endeavours to prevent the spread of infections caused by the novel coronavirus.”
