Eurostar is to increase its London St Pancras to Paris Nord service to twice daily from May 27.

It’s a far cry since the days when Eurostar would operate no fewer than 12 daily services each-way between London and Paris.

But as readers will have seen from our many Eurostar reports over the winter months, Eurostar’s Paris route has been reduced to a single daily service owing to lockdown and other restrictions.

The schedules appear on the Eurostar website. They are:

  • London-Paris depart 0755, arrive 1117
  • London-Paris depart 1622, arrive 1947
  • Paris-London depart 0903, arrive 1039
  • Paris-London depart 1703, arrive 1832

Readers may wonder what the situation is regarding Brussels and Amsterdam.

According to schedules for later this month Eurostar’s single daily service to Amsterdam via Brussels remains unchanged.

Eurostar currently has a number of Covid restrictions in place and details are shown on its website. Remember to check any changes which may take place between now and May 27.

The train firm’s ticketing arrangements are now more flexible and more information is displayed on eurostar.com.

The financial situation concerning Eurostar remains unclear at time of writing, and as we reported last month the expected merger between Eurostar and Thalys has been postponed.
