Marriott opens Downtown Austin property

Marriott International has opened its latest property in the Texan state capital Austin.

The 613-room Austin Marriott Downtown is housed within a 31-storey tower close to the Austin Convention Centre, and features “a lush tropical rooftop terrace and pool oasis with stunning views of downtown”, home to destination venue Zanzibar, which offers “modern tiki cocktails and island-inspired small plates”.

Other facilities include Corrine Restaurant which features “one of the largest outdoor patios on West Cesar Chavez Street”, as well as two-storey cocktail bar The Lobbylist, “urban grocer” Loaf and Vine, two ballrooms and an 18,000 square foot exhibit hall.

The hotel is currently running a Grand Opening Offer, with 15 per cent off room rates and two complimentary “celebratory cocktails”, for stays until May 30, 2021.

Marriott lists over 60 properties on its website in the Austin area, incorporating brands including Element, Aloft, Residence Inn, Westin, JW Marriott, Courtyard, W Hotels, Sheraton, AC Hotels, Moxy and Fairfield Inn and Suites.
