Marriott has opened the first property under its AC Hotels brand in the Swedish capital of Stockholm.
The 233-room AC Hotel Stockholm Ulriksdal is located in Solna business park, situated ten minutes north of the capital’s city centre by public transport.
The hotel features modern Scandinavian interiors by studio Living Design, which include a walnut colour scheme, premium materials and “clean modern lines”. Rooms have sleek furnishings, hardwood floors, and open wardrobes, and are designed to be “free of clutter”.
Facilities include the AC Lounge, where guests can order tapas-style food and signature cocktails, and a gym and spa with a restaurant, pool and steam room.
Jenni Benzaquen, Vice President of Brand Management and Marketing EMEA Marriott International, commented on the news:
“We’re delighted to expand the AC Hotels EMEA portfolio to Sweden and invite travellers to experience a destination that matches the brand’s passion for clean and timeless design.”
The lifestyle brand currently operates over 155 hotels globally, and is gradually expanding its portfolio with 15 hotels in the pipeline in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The brand opened its first hotel in Chile at the start of this year.
