British Airways has announced a further extension of the validity of its Companion and Gold Upgrade vouchers, in the light of ongoing travel restrictions caused by Covid-19.

Back in March the carrier extended the expiry of both sets of vouchers by six months, and its is now applying a further six-month extension.

In a statement provided to Business Traveller the airline said that “British Airways is extending all Companion Vouchers and Gold Upgrade Vouchers with an expiry date between October 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021 by a further six months”.

“All extensions are being applied automatically today. For any Companion Vouchers issued before March 31, 2021 an additional six month extension will be automatically applied.”

This summer BA extended Executive Club tier status benefits by 12 months.

It was also announced today that Avios Group Ltd and Tesco are to terminate their partnership from early next year, meaning Executive Club members will no longer be able to convert Clubcard points into the airline reward currency.
