No1 Lounges has reopened the first of its UK facilities since the onset of Covid-19.

The Gatwick North lounge is now open daily from 0600 to 1700, albeit with restricted services, as the operator announced in a series of tweets.

All buffet food has been withdrawn, in favour of a table service offering “a new, high-quality, simplified menu of hot and cold food, which reduces interaction and minimises contact between our teams and with guests”.

Newspapers and magazines have been removed to reduce contact touch points, and hand sanitiser is available “throughout the lounge”.

Other points highlighted on the No1 Lounges Twitter page include:

  • We have enhanced our high standards of cleanliness in our lounges even further, with more frequent cleaning throughout the day.
  • Contact-less reception – our team will still give you a warm welcome (at a distance) before you retreat inside
  • We’ve ensured there’s plenty of space to allow you to relax in comfort and style

Business Traveller understands that the group’s Clubrooms and My Lounge facilities at Gatwick’s North Terminal have yet to reopen. Swissport-owned Aspire Lounges reopened its Gatwick North facility in July.
