Aspire Lounges has begun reopening its airport lounges as travel returns following the easing of global travel restrictions.

In a tweet the lounge provider said that it had reopened facilities at Amsterdam Schiphol and Zurich airport, with lounges at Gatwick’s North Terminal and Heathrow T5 to follow on July 11.

The group has also published a page detailing what measures have been taken to ensure the safety of  guests and employees, from reduced capacity and social distancing, to table service, simplified menus and a limit on alcohol consumption.

No other dates have been given for Aspire lounge reopenings in the UK, and indeed the decision is partly out of the group’s hands, as locations include a lounge at Heathrow T3, which is currently closed to flights.

Aspire said:

“We’re currently working with airport and airline partners to determine when is the right time to once again re-open the doors to our lounges. We are hoping to start re-opening the doors to the first wave of lounges in mid-July.

“Each lounge’s re-opening date will be announced individually via our website and lounge pages, Aspire Lounges mailing list and across our social media channels. ”
