No1 Lounges has opened its latest third Australian facility, and its first lounge at Brisbane airport.

Located airside close to gate 77 within the airport’s international terminal, the My Lounge has been launched in partnership with Virgin Australia, offering complimentary access to the carrier’s business class passengers, as well as Platinum and Gold members of the Velocity Frequent Flyer programme, and Virgin Australia Lounge members travelling to New Zealand.

Passengers from other airlines are also able to pay to enter the lounge at a cost of A$60 when pre-booked, or A$70 on the day.

The 330 sqm lounge has seating for 105 guests, and features a kitchen counter offering a hot and cold grazing menu, a cocktail station, barista coffee, lounge area, a TV and games rooms, shower facilities and free wifi.

Paying guests can opt to get shower-only access for a charge of A$25.

Commenting on the news No1 Lounges chief operating officer, John Upton, said:

“We are delighted to be bringing our innovative social lounging concept to Brisbane. Situated by the departure gates, My Lounge redefines convenience, meaning thousands of passengers, regardless of the airline they are travelling with or the class of ticket they hold, can eat, drink and relax in style before making the short walk to the departure gates to fly off overseas.”

The opening follows the introduction of No1 Lounges’ The House brand in partnership with Etihad last year. The concept launched at Heathrow T4, and has since been extended to Melbourne and Sydney airports.

No1 Lounges offers a range of lounge concepts across its My Lounge, No1 Lounge, Clubrooms and The House brands.

Subscribers to Business Traveller can get 20 per cent off access to the group’s lounges at UK airports including Birmingham, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton – for more information click here.
