The first Luxembourg hotel under the Accor-backed Mama Shelter brand is set to open in May.

Located in the Kirchberg quarter of Luxembourg City, close to the Museum of Modern Art, the 145-room property will offer the first Mama Works co-working space within a Mama Shelter property, as well as an on-site bakery and a cinema.

The ceilings of the communal spaces have been adorned with “one-of-a-kind graffiti by renowned French artist, Beniloys”, and the hotel’s restaurant features communal tables, arcade games and a “show stopping pink marble bar”.

Mama Luxembourg will be the brand’s 13th property, joining hotels in destinations including London, LA, Paris, Prague and Rio.

The Mama Shelter brand was founded in 2008 by the Trigano family and designer Philippe Starck.

Accor purchased a 35 per cent stake in Mama Shelter in 2014 and now owns a 70 per cent stake – the brand currently has 13 properties in locations including Lille, LA, Paris, Prague and Rio.
