Hotel group Accor is set to open a second Ibis Styles hotel near Heathrow next month.

The 125-room Ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport East will be on Great West Road near Hounslow East Underground, around 20 minutes from the airport by car or tube, and will open “mid- to late-December”.

Interiors in the new-build are by Wakefield-based independent designer Matthews Mee, and are Art Deco-inspired, featuring “clean lines and geometric shapes.”

The lobby will have a bar/lounge open to the public, while the hotel will have onsite parking and a 25-capacity meeting room.

Accor currently has an Ibis Styles on Bath Road, even closer to Heathrow.

This will mark the UK’s 25th Ibis Styles, the design-oriented sister brand of Ibis and Ibis Budget.

The hotel will be managed by UK-based Splendid Hospitality, which formerly owned and ran the Master Robert Hotel on the same site.

Philip Lassman Accor’s head of development for Northern Europe, commented: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of the latest addition to the ibis Styles network, bringing us to the significant milestone of 25 ibis Styles hotels in the UK.

“We’re seeing considerable appetite from investors and owners for the brands like Ibis Styles that have international recognition while offering an element of flexibility and local feel.

“This exciting development with Splendid Hospitality plays perfectly to Ibis Styles’ reputation for delivering an upbeat, stylish hotel experience for guests.”
