French hotel group Accor will open a new-build east London property under its midrange Ibis Styles brand in the first quarter of next year.

The 92-room Ibis Styles London Seven Kings will be next to Seven Kings station, in Redbridge.

Accor said the lobby will be a multi-functional space which encourages guests, businesses and the local community to use its bar, lounge and coffee shop.

It will be managed by Novum, a German hospitality company.

“This signing is a significant indication of the confidence a leading European hospitality operator has in both the Ibis Styles brand and the regeneration and reinvention of East London,” said Philip Lassman, Accor’s head of development for Northern Europe.

“This brand-new hotel will be consistent with the look and feel of the Ibis Styles network, having a distinctly modern design while also keeping its own local personality.

“We are confident that the hotel’s positioning as an oasis in the city, along with its prime East London location, will attract both leisure and business travellers to the area.”
