British airport lounge operator No1 Lounges has launched its latest airport lounge together with airline partner Virgin Australia at Brisbane Airport’s international terminal.
The new lounge, called ‘My Lounge – Home of Virgin Australia’ is located close to the departure gates at the airport. Guests can walk from the lounge to most departure gates in just five minutes, says the airport.
The 332 sqm space features kitchen counters serving a hot and cold grazing menu, with both local produce and international cuisine. It also includes a curated wine list, sparkling wines and a cocktail station with DIY cocktails including the ‘flamingo’, a signature aperitif presented by Virgin Australia. Passengers at the lounge can also enjoy barista-made coffee, tea and soft drinks.
The lounge, which can hold up to 108 guests, also includes a TV and games room, magazines and national newspapers available to take onboard, unlimited wifi, charging points, and a variety of seating options. For those who wish to freshen up before a long flight, there are shower facilities, towels and hair dryers at the lounge.
Complimentary and guaranteed access to the lounge will be available to all eligible Virgin Australia Business Class guests, and Platinum and Gold members of the airline’s Velocity Frequent Flyer Program, as well as for Virgin Australia lounge members travelling to New Zealand.
Checked-in passengers from other airlines will also be permitted to use the lounge on a pay-per-use basis. Guests can pre-book access online or in person on the day of travel, for A$60 (US$41) and A$70 (US$48) respectively. The lounge is open from 5am to 10pm on a daily basis.
