Qantas opens expanded Business Lounge at Singapore Changi

Qantas has opened an extension to its Business Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport.

The new space has banquette seating, dining chairs and tables, as well as power outlets.

The lounge at Terminal 1 now has space for more than 570 customers over 2,200 sqm.

It first opened in 2013 and has an a la carte menu by Australian chef Neil Perry, featuring dishes such as chicken laksa and roasted pork belly. There is also a buffet, 20 showers, 80-inch television screens and flexible working, relaxing and dining areas.

Qantas is currently working on a new First Lounge at Changi, which is set to open in November 2019.

Facilities will include showers, a cocktail bar and an open kitchen.

Singapore is Qantas’s largest hub outside of Australia, and it operates more than 50 return services through the city state each week.

A huge mixed-use development called the Jewel recently opened at Singapore Changi, with an array of shops, restaurants, lounges and leisure activities.

The popular airport recently marked 40 years since its foundation stone was laid.
