Etihad has launched its January sale offering discounted fares from Asia to Europe including in its premium cabins that will be available to book for the next 11 days.

Applicable to flights departing by June 30 this year, discounted fares are available across all three cabin classes to a number of destinations in Europe served by the Abu Dhabi-based carrier, notably Barcelona – which Etihad launched flights to in November – Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris, and Rome, among others.

At the time of writing, Business Traveller Asia-Pacific was able to find return business class fares between Singapore and London for S$3,732 (US$2,760), and return first class fares to Paris from S$8,918 (US$6,595).

Return business class fares between Hong Kong and London, meanwhile, can be found for HK$20,344 (US$2,594) and up.

There are also economy class discounts up for grabs. Return economy class fares between Hong Kong and Milan, for example, are available from HK$4,193 (US$535).

Earlier this month, Business Traveller Asia-Pacific reported that Etihad would begin flying its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on flights between Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong from the end of March, an upgrade from the A330-200 that flies the route at the moment.

The upgauge notably means passengers booking business class will fly in the airline’s Business Studio seats, though sadly a first class option won’t be available. Etihad configures its 787-9s in two configurations, one with three classes and another with two, and it will be the latter taking over flights on the Hong Kong route.

Meanwhile, also starting March 31, the airline’s newly launched service to Barcelona will be boosted to a daily service.
