Boutique US hotel brand The Standard will open its first London property in 2019, located on Euston Rd close to St Pancras Station.

The Standard, London is set to open next year – note that when Business Traveller originally published this story we were advised of a February 2019 opening date, but this has now been revised to “2019”.

It will be the brand’s first hotel outside the US, joining existing properties in LA, West Hollywood, Miami and New York.

The 266-room hotel is housed within a converted office block, previously occupied by Camden Council, with three brand new floors sitting on top of the existing building.

There are still few details about the hotel (although Business Traveller understands these will be released soon), but it was recently confirmed that former Young British Foodie Awards Chef of the Year Adam Rawson will be executive chef at the property.

Interiors are being designed by Shawn Hausman Design, which has worked on all five current Standard properties.

A webpage for The Standard, London is up and running, although at present it simply shows an image of a London red bus, with a sign-up option for updates.
