China Airlines has reopened its Dynasty Lounge at Taoyuan International Airport following months of renovation work that sees the design of the 1,170-sqm lounge aligned with the carrier’s new-generation aircraft cabins.
Located in front of Gate D4 in the Taipei airport’s Terminal 2 building, the revamped lounge has notably been given a makeover courtesy of Taiwanese calligraphy artist, Ben-Hang Chang, who has painted an interior fresco depicting Mount Jade – one of a number of frescoes throughout the lounge.
In terms of capacity, the lounge offers seating for some 258 guests – power outlets can be found throughout the space – while from a facilities perspective China Airlines provides showers, public computers, and even a room for parents to tend to young infants.
Both Chinese and international cuisine is served at the lounge. Of particular note is the ability for guests to request cooked-to-order beef noodles, while other local snacks such as yams and tea eggs are also offered.
China Airlines has four VIP lounges at Terminal 1 and 2 at Taipei’s primary international airport, which can be accessed by business class passengers along with Paragon, Emerald and Gold members of the airline’s Dynasty frequent-flyer programme as well as Skyteam Elite Plus members.
Opening hours are from 05:30 to 23:30 daily, subject to flight schedule.
