Intercontinental Hotels Group will debut its growing Kimpton brand in the UK next month, with the rebranding of The Principal London.
Earlier this year IHG announced an agreement with real estate investment company Fonciere des Regions, which is purchasing 13 properties under the Principal Hotels and De Vere brands.
Four of these hotels are set to take on the Kimpton brand, with The Principal London the first to rebrand in late October.
Going forward the property will be known as the Kimpton Fitzroy London, a nod to the hotel’s original architect Charles Fitzroy Doll.
The London property will be followed by Kimpton additions in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester.
IHG acquired the Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants in 2015, and opened the first European property under the brand in Amsterdam last year.
Forthcoming European Kimpton hotels include Paris and Frankfurt.
