Lufthansa has unveiled new premium economy, business and first class amenity kits which are scheduled to launch on board in the next few months.
The new premium economy “Around the World” kits feature five different motifs – the Eiffel Tower, Brandenburg Gate, Frankfurt Skyline, Statue of Liberty and Golden Gate Bridge – which Lufthansa says “are ideal for reuse as shopping or beach bags and thus contribute to a reduction in plastic waste”.
Meanwhile the new Reisenthel business class kits will be offered from July, and come in three variants, all featuring the new Lufthansa brand design, and with products by L’Occitaine. Again the carrier says that the bags can be used after the flight, as “a shopping bag, pencil case or cosmetic bag”.
Finally the new Windsor first class kits will launch inflight from the end of this month, with the female bag featuring a detachable carry strap, and the male version offering “a modern, straightforward design” allowing it to be reused as a sponge bag or “practical organizer”. Both kits will feature products by La Prairie.
Earlier this month Lufthansa launched its new Dream Collection of business class amenities, including a new pillowcase and “large, warm blanket”, as well as a mattress topper by German bed manufacturer Paradies and sleep shirt by Van Laack.
