Emirates is rolling out new amenity kits for all classes this month as part of its Christmas offerings, with 16 new designs for first and business class passengers and six for economy class travellers.
The new kits are available on long-haul night flights as well as those over 10 hours. Travellers in first and business class will get Bulgari bags that include signature fragrances and lotions from the fashion house, along with other travel essentials. Economy class, meanwhile, gets Expo 2020-inspired kits – Dubai will host the event – and have the usual items, notably socks, eye mask and dental kit.
Aside from amenity kits, Emirates is also bringing back its Christmas in-flight menu throughout this month on flights from Dubai to Australia, Europe and the US as well as on flights from the UK to Dubai.
The menus see first and business class get a starter of lemon and herb king prawns, and a rolled turkey buffe (breast) with chestnut and apricot stuffing, pumpkin mash and Brussels sprouts cooked with turkey bacon. These are then followed by a choice of dessert, which varies according to route, including ginger bread roulade, a chocolate mint dome or a Yule log.
First class passengers also receive Christmas macaroons and hot chocolate with marshmallows and gingerbread, while those travelling to Europe or Africa can also have a glass of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 1985, a red Bordeaux that will only be served this month.
Special Christmas-themed dishes will also be served at Emirates’ First Class and Business Class lounges in Dubai and around the world.
Travellers in economy will also get a rolled turkey buffe but with mashed potatoes, Vienna chicken sausages and seasonal vegetables. Lemon cranberry cake with cream cheese frosting or cocoa cake with white chocolate chips and raspberry coulis are offered for dessert.
