Qantas has unveiled a new range of bedding for its first class customers onboard the carrier’s A380 aircraft.

Designed by Australian home and lifestyle brand Sheridan, the range includes a pillow menu with a choice of the lightweight Ultimate Comfort Pillow (set on seat prior to take off), the Memory Foam Pillow or the Feather and Down Pillow (the last two being available on request).

Other features include a memory foam mattress, “super-soft Sheridan sheeting”, a duvet cover, a 100 per cent combed-cotton woven throw, and a soft-touch bolster cushion.

The changes are part of an upgrade of Qantas’ A380 cabins, with refurbished first class suites and an increase in the number of business and premium economy seats on the aircraft.

The new first class bedding will be available on A380 services to London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Dallas Fort Worth from early October.

In addition Sheridan has designed a new “soft baby blanket” for infants under the age of two, available on all international services in all cabins. The blanket has been approved by the Red Nose charity, which supports research into the causes and prevention of sudden infant and child death.

Commenting on the new products Paul Gould, Sheridan’s Group General Manager said:

“Our talented team of in-house designers have created a bespoke bedding ensemble that matches the unsurpassed luxury of Qantas’ First class offering.

“We have also created a beautifully soft baby blanket to ensure that even the tiniest of travellers are comfortable during their flight in all cabins.

“We’re proud to partner with another iconic Australian brand that shares our ongoing commitment to excellence.”
