Business Traveller Awards 2018

For a phenomenal 31st year in a row, Singapore’s Changi airport won the Best Airport in the World award, while Amsterdam Schiphol took the Europe prize, and London Heathrow was named Best Airport for Tax-Free Shopping.

Avis was again named the Best Car Rental Company Worldwide and in Europe, while Virgin Trains retained the Best UK Domestic Train Service award.

In the hotel categories InterContinental Hotels & Resorts won Best Business Hotel Chain Worldwide and Best Business Hotel in the UK for the InterContinental London Park Lane, while Hilton took three awards for Best Business Hotel Chains in the UK and Europe, as well as Best Hotel Loyalty Scheme for Hilton Honors.

Mandarin Oriental bagged the award for Best Luxury Hotel Chain, while The Shangri-La Singapore won Best Business Hotel Worldwide.

Other winners included Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Langham Hotels & Resorts, Premier Inn, Marriott Hotels, Ascott the Residence and Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong.

More than 250 executives from across the travel industry attended the awards, which were voted for by readers of the leading UK magazine, with the results authenticated by an independent auditing company.
