British Airways franchise partner Sun-Air is to launch new routes from London City and Manchester to the German city of Bremen.
The new services will launch on October 31, and will join Sun-Air’s existings routes to Billund from LCY and Manchester.
Sun-Air operates aircraft incorporating the British Airways livery, and is an affiliate member of Oneworld. The carrier says that it offers ”a full service on all our flights including free meals, snacks, drinks, newspapers and excellent service”.
The new flights will be served by 32-seater Dornier 328 aircraft, with a total of ten weekly return flights on the LCY-Bremen route, and eleven weekly return services on the Manchester-Bremen route.
Commenting on the announcement Sun-Air’s commercial director Kristian Tvergaard said:
“We have over the years developed a great deal of experience with servicing the regional business sectors where focus is on point to point routes, optimised flight schedules tailored to the regional needs with morning departures and evening returns and a high level of in-flight service.
“We are very pleased with the close cooperation we have had with Bremen Airport in bringing this valuable market opportunity to life and already the new route has had attention and support from both German and British business people.”
Ryanair currently offers flights from Edinburgh, London Stansted and Manchester to Bremen.
Tickets for the new Sun-Air routes will go on sale tomorrow (September 2) at ba.com.
