Danish airline Sun-Air, a franchise partner of British Airways, will launch an eight-times weekly service between Cambridge and Gothenburg next month.
The route will be operated by a 32-seat Dornier 328 jet in the morning and evening on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
It opens on March 2 and is being introduced to allow employees at biopharmaceutical firm Astra Zeneca to fly between the two cities.
Stephen Humphreys, BA's head of UK and Ireland sales, said: "We are pleased to be working with Sun-Air to support the important work of British businesses, flying between Cambridge and Gothenburg."
Kristian Tvergaard, Sun-Air's commercial director at Sun-Air, added: "We've worked closely with Astra Zeneca and Cambridge Airport to bring this niche but valuable market opportunity to life."
BA last week unveiled its new business class amenity kit on long-haul routes (see news, February 10).
