Ginger, operated by Roots Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to launch its first property in Amritsar. Punjab.

Slated to open by 2022, Ginger Aero City, Amritsar will have 130 guestrooms, an all-day diner and bar, meeting rooms and a fitness centre.

Deepika Rao, managing director, and chief executive officer, Ginger said, “It is our pleasure to announce the signing of Ginger Amritsar in partnership with Wilshire Hospitality, a part of Splendor Group. The design would be around the brand’s Lean Luxe philosophy of seamlessness.”

Amritsar is one of the fastest-growing tourist and business hubs in Punjab with a rich cultural and religious heritage. The city is home to the Golden Temple, one of Sikhism’s spiritually significant and most-visited gurudwaras. 

With the signing of this hotel, IHCL will have three hotels in the state of Punjab.
