Icelandair will commence a four-times weekly B757-200 service between Reykjavik and Montreal in May.
The route will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until November 2016.
Outbound service FI805 will depart Reykjavik at 1705 and land in Montreal at 1840, while return leg FI804 will leave Montreal at 2105 and arrive in Reykjavik at 0600 the next day.
The service will connect with all six of Icelandair's gateways in the UK - at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and the forthcoming Aberdeen service (see news, August 17).
Birkir Holm Gudnason, Icelandair CEO, said: "We believe Montreal fits well with the Icelandair route network and will strengthen our business. We can offer a refreshing and affordable way for tourists and business community between the destination and major European cities."
Montreal will be the airline's fifth destination in Canada, following the launch of services to Edmonton and Vancouver last year, and 16th in North America.
In February, the carrier will increase services between Reykjavik and Birmingham from two to four weekly flights (see news, April 29). And in March, it will launch a year-round service to Chicago (see news, May 13).
