Icelandair has announced a year-round service to Chicago from March next year.
The four-times weekly operation between Reykjavik and Chicago O'Hare International airport will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The airline now flies to 15 North American destinations with connections from five UK airports.
Icelandair CEO Birkir Holm Gudnason said: "We are excited to return to the Windy City as a bigger, better airline that can best serve the dynamic market of Chicago and its nearly ten million inhabitants."
Last month, Icelandair announced it will increase services between Birmingham and Reykjavik from two to four weekly flights next year (see news, April 29).
